In norse mythology, Huginn from the ancient "Thought" in Norse and Muninn (Old Norse "memory" or "mind") are a couple of crows that fly around the world, Midgard, and provide information to the god Odin. Poetry, compiled in the thirteenth century from previous traditional sources: prose Ida and Heimskringla, written by Snori Storelson in the thirteenth century; in the thesis of grammar rules, collected in the thirteenth century by Alvar Ororson, The names of the crows are newly inscribed as Hugin and Munin.
