A squash blossom necklace is a Navajo necklace centered by an upside-down crescent (or naja), accented by large flowering silver beads (or squash blossoms.) It is believed the Navajo started creating these beautiful necklaces in the late 1800's.
Like many symbols, it was created as a talisman for protection, with the Moors affixing it to their horses' bridles to ward off the evil eye. But you could just wear it and feel the power of ancient cultures, while looking beautiful.
