Viking Triquetra Axe Head Pewter Pendant
Viking Triquetra Axe Head Pewter Pendant
During the Viking Age, the axe has gained considerable fame due to its close attachment to the culture both in normal life and on the battlefield. These weapons designed for many uses. They could be used in a village, or on a farm and can be used in a fight. They became deadly weapons that could shatter shields and cleave through armor as easily as splitting logs.
This axe pendant is based on the shape of a Viking axe head and features a Triquetra, a knot-like formation with three ends, commonly shown interlaced around a circle. Pendants just like this have been found in excavations and dates to the Viking period.
This Pendant is handmade in Asgard's workshop in Scotland and is available in Pewter.
